Framework: Home Page

877.282.3609

NOTE: This page will most likely contain an intro, divided into two small sections, as a portal for both the design/editing & web hosting sectors of the site and company. In the next week Sep 10 - 17, pages that have been updated will appear in the sidebar on the right. This is better than having to guess at what is new, etc. Current update info is about the Main Nav menu (the horizontal menu above).

At this point, the Big News is that we have a precise, stable layout that will be almost identical in all A-Grade browsers on Windows, Macintosh & Linux boxes. As well, we now have a solid navigational system (finally!) that utilizes the Yahoo User Interface (YUI) library of JavaScript and CSS components. We have an approximate 2-week window in which to settle on final textual content. The challenge is to maximize message delivery, without clutter, excessive wordiness or distractions. But the mechanical issues are solved … for now.

The only remaining, non-creative issues are the handling of Forms, and the broadcasting of the site/business availability. Sleek navigation structure and cross-platform/browser uniformity have really been a serious drain, but will pay off, big-time, down the road. We cannot market ourselves as "technical" anything without employing almost maniacal attention to detail and precision.

This is a rough draft framework, ONLY! Any input should be confined to textual, message-related content. Aesthetics will be dealt with late next week, on or after SEP 17. The focus now is on text content only.

Production Notes-Issues for This Page, only

  • Tighten kerning between "7" and the "dot" in the phone number, or switch to either hyphens or image
  • Use an image (even, say, a "pie Chart" type graphic) that is a navigation aid (pie "slices" as 'links') to most critical parts of the site instead of text?

Updated Pages

All. Main Nav menus only. - It has been decided that hosting and web design will NOT come under the main nav heading of "services", instead, each will have its own main menu item. For now Pricing appears under the web design and web hosting menu items just to show the thinking here.

Note that any item appearing in the main nav menu, that ALSO has a sub will point to pages that also have "Local" navigation within that menu item's domain, on the right hand sidebar.
