Gananoque, Ontario. June 20, 2016. big river technologies inc., has announced it has selected Gananoque as the new home for its state of the art software design facility. The firm confirmed it is
working with government and a local developer to finalize plans for the centre, which is expected to host 30-50 employees by the end of 2017. The planned 10,000 square foot facility will be a state-of-the-art software design workspace, in the heart of the Gananoque waterfront area.

According to big river founder, John Free, Gananoque was selected, not only because the company believes the river lifestyle will help attract and retain employees, but also because of its strategic proximity between Concordia, McGill, Carleton, and Queens universities as well as Algonquin & St.Lawrence colleges. “The reception we’ve received in Gananoque has been incredible. Shelley Hirstwood and her team have really smoothed the way for us. Trish McNamara and the whole Keys organization have been instrumental in helping us find our first core employees locally. I believe Gananoque is at the tipping point of a renaissance, and we are very excited to be a part of it.”, said Free.
